Course: Importing Microsoft Outlook 2007 Contacts to Zimbra


Audience: Clients who wish to add Outlook contacts to Zimbra

Prerequisites: email address and password

Applies To: Microsoft Outlook 2007 and Zimbra

           
     

1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2007

  • Go to File

  • Click on Import and Export

2. Import and Export Wizard

  • Highlight Export to a file

  • Click Next

3. Export to a file

  • Highlight Comma Separated Values (Windows)

  • Click Next

4. Export to a File (continued)

  • Expand contacts

  • Highlight the group of contacts you wish to export

  • Click next

5. Click on browse

  • Choose a destination for the file

  • Give the file a name (ie) Outlook Contacts

  • Click Ok

6. Export to a file

  • After you have found the file click on next

7. Export to a File (continued)

  • Click on finish

8. Log into https://portal.discoverefficiency.com

  • Sign in with user name and password

  • Click on preferences tab

  • Click on Address Book

  • Click on Browse

9. Browse for the .csv file we just exported from Outlook

  • When you have located the file highlight it

  • Click on open

10. Choose an Address Book you want the contacts to be added to.

  • Highlight the address book and click on ok

11. A small screen will say importing at the top of the window.


12. When the import is finished it will say how many contacts it imported at the top of the screen

13. Check the address book to verify contacts were imported successfully
