Course: Configuring Your Blackberry to Sync with Zimbra

 

Audience: Clients who have a BES and Zimbra account with DataSync

Prerequisites: User must have a Zimbra account with DataSync.
User must also have a BES account set up by DataSync. Activation password also required.

Applies To: BlackBerry 

         

 Note: Storm2 will have an 'Activation Server' field

Leave that empty and continue with activation.
     

** (The phone used in this article has Verizon 4.3 software) **

(Settings will be simalar to other carriers)

1. Select the Options Icon (some Blackberry devices, such as the Bold will find this under the Settings icon)

2. In the Options Menu

  • Go into the Advanced Section

  • Select Enterprise Activation

3. Enterprise Activation

  • Enter your e-mail: email@domain.com

  • Enter your password: the activation password DataSync has sent you
    • Note: The password is not your usual Zimbra password.
    • leave activation server field blank and do not alter PIN

4. Activate

  • Click on the Menu Button

  • Select Activate

5. Syncing

  • Syncing times will vary depending on the account size.

  • Syncing could take as long as 25 minutes for large accounts.
