DataSync had a pleasant surprise right away in the morning with a visit from Wyatt Walter, former VP of Network Operations at DataSync, now of SugarCRM. We were sad to see him leave, but glad he seems to be adjusting well to life in sunny California – we heard he has even taken up surfing!

For Ted and Kristen, the day was spent at the DataSync booth, telling customers and partners how we have integrated SugarCRM in the Suite and giving live product demos. We lucked out by getting a booth next to DataSync partner Pardot, which judging by the photo on the left of Pardot’s VP of Sales Derek Grant and our VP of Business Development, Ted, has been a blast.

CEO Mike Vetter’s breakout session was yesterday afternoon. “The Cloud is Suite – Running Your Entire Business on the Cloud” featured a brief overview of DataSync Suite, and a panel of experts that lent their knowledge and expertise on the importance of exploring cloud-based applications. The panel included Derek from Pardot, Doug Guilbeau – Managing Director at Levementum, Bradley Van Peursen – CEO of iTelework, and Dell Ross – Director of Channel Development at SugarCRM.

Last night’s event was at the beautiful California Academy of Sciences, where we were able to tour the 4 story Rain Forest, Steinhart Aquarium, and live colony of penguins. We’re wrapping up today with the last full day of sessions and time at the booth, and the night’s event is a tour of the city.

We started off the day with breakfast at a classic ’50s diner for some delicious biscuits and gravy and Denver-style omelets.

We had the rest of the morning to explore some of the city before SugarCon registration and the booth setup.

Daniel, Ted, and Kristen braved the rainy weather and explored Pier 39, while Mike got some work done back at The Palace Hotel.

After a quick lunch downtown San Francisco, it was time to register, and get our booth set up for the first Solutions Showcase of the conference.

Kristen had a small panic attack back at the hotel when it took some time to locate the eight packages we had shipped there– which held everything we needed for the booth. Panic attack was short lived when the packages were located, booth was properly set up, and we were ready to meet fellow SugarCRM sponsors, vendors, and partners.

We’ve had a great time connecting with partners we’ve spoken with on the phone/Skype, but never had the pleasure of meeting before this week, as well as meeting new SugarCRM users.

Last night DataSync partner Levementum hosted a welcome party at Eddie Rickenbacker’s, which was, of course, great fun and a fantastic way to connect with other SugarCRM partners.

Today is Day 2 of SugarCon, and we have launched into another Solutions Showcase of demonstrating DataSync Suite at our booth, while the breakout sessions begin.
