“Are you on Facebook?”
This question has become a regular “how do you do” in the world of business. What was once briefly a means of purely social interaction has turned into one of the most powerful business marketing tools of the 21st Century.
Social Networking Sites (SNS) such as Facebook and Twitter focus on building online communities for people who share similar interests and/or activities. By pushing out relevant content specific to a particular social network, businesses are able to generate traffic to their company website and/or blog. SNS such as LinkedIn can also be used to attract prospective employees and share business models and trade secrets.
Not to mention, it can save you a ton of money on business cards. Remember to share your social links in your email signature.
A question often asked is, how do we distinguish the business principle from the pleasure principle? There’s actually a little of both involved. Companies large and not-quite-as-large are not only able to project a professional image through these various network channels, but also able to relate to their consumers on a personal level by sharing photos, videos, news, etc.
As of late, DataSync has been guzzling the social networking water and it’s quite refreshing.
It’s so refreshing, in fact, that we’d love for you to follow us on one or all of the following sites:
