DataSync Corporation announced today that it received Series A venture funding to ramp up development on its flagship product, DataSync Suite. The capital drive was lead by the Enterprise Institute of South Dakota and RAIN Source Capital of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
DataSync Suite melds great business software into one robust system. Our tool is an enterprise-class open source software platform that integrates best-of-class open source tools into a single online application. The funding provided will be used to develop administration tools, add new applications to the suite, and add additional application integration.
DataSync will also be upgrading its on-demand hosting infrastructure to a highly available VMWare driven environment. This upgrade will provide 99.99% uptime for all systems, and enable fast scalability for larger organizations.
“We are excited to move forward with our platform and hosting environment with the additional project funding. DataSync is poised to become the premier open source application suite delivery organization of tomorrow.” said Mike Vetter, Founder and CEO.
The firm will be releasing DataSync Suite 1.0 in mid 2009, and will be working on major feature enhancements in the remainder of the year. The full DataSync On-Demand architecture upgrade will be completed in Q1 2009.
