Wyatt Walter, one of our senior systems administrators, has an interesting article about Wikipedia switching operating systems:

Wikipedia will be completing its transition to Ubuntu LTS from a mix of RHEL and Fedora machines. Wikipedia is making the move in an effort to make management simple by switching to a standard platform.

We’re big fans of Ubuntu, and run almost all of our servers on the OS. Congrats to Ubuntu on another win for a great open source company!
